Webb17 juli 2024 · It looks like the original ledger was doing its job - the floor joists were staying up with the doubled header. The Simpson hangers were not an appropriate application. The notched joists' ends made it impossible to place the hangers per the manufacture's specifications. I doubt that the hangers will compensate for the loss of the ledger. Webb8 juli 2008 · Simpson has a hanger that simply is inserted into the foam and cast in place. They are much faster than anything else and rated for something like 2000 lbs each in the verticle. Another good option is a ledger connection with J-bolts and some cutouts for concrete to fill between wall and ledger.
