The plugin works better with one single instance of an URDF. So my suggestion is for you to assembly one single URDF with UR5+Robotiq 2F-85, and then add the plugin to that. WebJan 19, 2024 · I am thinking about purchasing a Robotiq 2F-85 gripper. I would like to mount it to a UR5 robot arm from Universal Robots and control it via ROS2. At the moment I am using Galactic Geochelone running on an Ubuntu 20.04 computer and as soon as the next LTS version is available, I will upgrade to that one (Humble Hawksbill). WebFeb 24, 2024 · You can send the robotiq preamble script together with the function you want to run, using the sendCustomScriptFunction () of the rtde_control interface. (Unfortunately you have to send over the preamble with the gripper api functions everytime, it does give a bit of delay).
