WebAlthough US and EU regulatory requirements are similar, they do have distinct differences: US – An essential oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis. EU – Source material must be vegetable, animal, or microbiological.
